I spent all of last week in NYC meeting up with old friends and colleagues to discuss my new book “Your Perfect Portfolio“. One of the big highlights of the trip was getting to sit down with Joe Weisenthal and Tracy Alloway on the Odd Lots podcast on Bloomberg. Odd Lots is one of the only podcasts I listen to so being a studio guest on the show was a bucket list item of mine. Joe and Tracy are just so good and they cover a huge range of topics without getting bogged down in politics or overly mundane financial issues.

We had a wide ranging discussion about the different strategies in the book as well as some other concepts such as:

  1. The right way to think about risk profiling
  2. The way your human capital and income fits into the portfolio construction process
  3. Price compression and how I think about big market booms like AI or gold in the present environment
  4. How real estate fits into the portfolio construction process.
